It’s a busy month for Schatte and Lockwood on the performance front.
From Jan. 31 to Feb. 4, Lockwood will take part in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., where he will perform in the duo category with London guitarist Paul Langille.
They will represent the London-based Great Lakes Blues Society. It will be Lockwood’s second time going the event, as he and his band were there in 2011 to perform at BB King’s bar, where they shared the stage with acts from Norway and Canada, as well as New York, Louisiana and Seattle.
On Jan. 22, Schatte and his band will play at the Toronto Blues Society’s Blues Summit Eight in downtown Toronto.
Blues Summit is a forum for all members of the blues community, including artists, presenters, agents, festival bookers, organizers, radio hosts and industry representatives.
The conference offers a chance for members of the community to connect, as well as for artists to showcase in front of industry professionals.
Schatte and his band will take the stage at 10:30 p.m. that night at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel.
